Weston is a village situated between the market towns of Stafford and Uttoxeter, just north of the historic City of Lichfield. Gayton is approximately one mile to the east of Weston. Weston has grown tremendously in the last 30 years - formerly a small farming community, it now houses some 1,500 people (including Gayton), many of whom work in the local towns.

Post Office Service to Open in Village Hall - 1st March 2012(Posted By Bill Perrett on 2nd February 2012)Post Office Limited has confirmed that the new part-time Post Office service will open in Weston Village Hall from 1st March 2012. The new facility will be open on two afternoons a week on Tuesdays and Thursdays as a temporary measure pending the re-establishment of a full-time Post Office service in the village. The new facility is the result of lobbying by the Community Shop Group and our Borough and County Councillors and is only possible because of the support of the Weston Village Hall Committee and Weston with Gayton Parish Council. |

Mums n Babes - Nearly New Sale - 10-12noon - 12th November 2011(Posted By David Kirby on 25th October 2011)The Mums n Babes group, which is based at Weston Village Hall in Stafford will be holding a nearly new children's clothes, toys, furniture and general sale on Saturday 12 November from 10am to 12 noon. Cash raised from the sale of the tables will provide some much needed funds to purchase new toys and equipment and a bumper array of arts and craft materials. The sale will take place at Weston Village Hall and buyers are being promised a whole load of bargains for newborns, babies and toddlers. Melissa Nightingale, the leader of the Mums n Babes group said: "We decided to hold the sale so we could raise a bit of money for the children who attend the group. In particular we would love them to have a dolls house to play with and a new adventure area, so the money we raise will pay for that. So far we have sold nearly all of the tables and sellers have a wide range of items to sell from baby chairs, bath safety seats, sterilisers, designer baby clothes to lots of toys and furniture. With Christmas just around the corner it's a great way to come and get a fabulous present at a bargain price. It's also an ideal place to come if you have a baby on the way as there will be lots of items on sale for newborns. Please put the date in your diary and come along and have a browse. I'm sure you will pick up a bargain." Entrance to the sale costs £1 for adults(children free of charge). There will be a children's play corner and tea, coffee and cakes will be available.
